How to Connect Your Shopify Store to Drpshippr in Under 5 Minutes

February 20, 20255 min readBy Drpshippr Team

Before You Start: What You Need

Before connecting Shopify to Drpshippr, make sure you have:

  • An active Shopify store (free trial is fine)
  • A Drpshippr account (create free at drpshippr.io)
  • Your Shopify store URL (yourstore.myshopify.com)

The entire process takes under 5 minutes once you have both accounts. No developer needed, no code to write.

Why Connect Shopify with Drpshippr?

Shopify is the world's best storefront builder — beautiful themes, great checkout, and SEO-friendly structure. But Shopify was built for a global market and lacks India-specific D2C selling features.

Drpshippr fills that gap by adding:

  • COD order verification (reduce RTO by 20–30%)
  • Auto-forwarding of orders to your Indian suppliers
  • AWB tracking number sync back to your Shopify store
  • NDR management (retry undelivered orders)
  • RTO risk scoring before dispatch
  • Profit analytics per order after all costs
  • Indian courier integration (Delhivery, Xpressbees, Ecom Express)

Together, Shopify gives you the storefront your customers love. Drpshippr handles all the India-specific operational complexity behind the scenes.

Step 1: Create or Log In to Your Drpshippr Account

Go to app.drpshippr.io and create your account if you do not already have one. The free plan is sufficient to start. Once logged in, go to Settings → Integrations.

Step 2: Add Your Shopify Store

In the Integrations section, click "Connect Shopify Store." Enter your Shopify store URL in the format yourstore.myshopify.com (find this in Shopify Admin → Settings → Store Details).

Click "Connect." You will be redirected to a Shopify permissions page asking you to authorise Drpshippr to access your store. Review the permissions and click "Install App." You will be redirected back to Drpshippr with a success confirmation.

Step 3: Sync Your Products

Once connected, go to Products in your Drpshippr dashboard. Click "Sync from Shopify." Choose which products to sync — you can sync all or select specific ones.

For each product, you will now assign a supplier from the Drpshippr supplier catalog (or enter your own supplier details). Set the supplier cost price for each product — this is what Drpshippr uses to calculate your profit per order.

Step 4: Enable Auto-Fulfillment

In Settings → Fulfillment, enable "Auto-forward new orders to supplier." This means when a customer places an order on your Shopify store, Drpshippr automatically forwards it to your supplier without you needing to do anything manually.

Also enable "Auto-sync tracking to Shopify" — when your supplier updates the AWB number, it automatically updates in your Shopify order and triggers the tracking email to your customer.

Step 5: Set Up COD Verification

This is the most important step for reducing RTO. In Settings → COD Verification, enable WhatsApp order confirmation. Add your WhatsApp Business number. Customise the confirmation message template.

When a COD order is placed, Drpshippr automatically sends a WhatsApp confirmation message to the customer. Only once the customer confirms via WhatsApp does the order get forwarded to the supplier. Orders that do not respond within 12–24 hours can be flagged for manual review before dispatch — saving you the shipping cost on orders that would have been RTO'd anyway.

Step 6: Test with a Real Order

Place a test order on your Shopify store (you can use your own address and phone number). Verify that:

  • The order appears in your Drpshippr dashboard
  • The WhatsApp COD confirmation is sent (if enabled)
  • The order is forwarded to your supplier after confirmation
  • The AWB tracking number syncs back to Shopify once the supplier ships

Once the test order works end-to-end, you are live. All future orders from your Shopify store will be automatically managed through Drpshippr.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

  • Orders not syncing: Check that the Drpshippr app is still installed in your Shopify admin (Apps section). Disconnect and reconnect if needed.
  • WhatsApp messages not sending: Verify your WhatsApp Business API is correctly configured in Drpshippr settings.
  • Tracking not updating in Shopify: Ensure "Auto-sync tracking" is enabled and your supplier is updating AWB numbers in the Drpshippr portal.
